One of the most crucial and short sections in your annotated bibliography is the acknowledgment bracket. This section must always start on a new page. It should be written using the APA style that you are most familiar with. It is easier for a reader to read when you use an asterisk below it. Remember, it is the initial part of the body and not the long list of words. 

When crafting this section, ensure you use your full name, name of the researcher, the year of publication, and the title of the paper. Lastly, you should add your annotations. Use short notes that clearly explain the text. Additionally, you will need to bring out facts, figures, and evidence to validate your statements. It is easy to use the bracket to clarify the keywords within the report.

When writing the acknowledgment, it is easy to put the information in bold, not in italics. It is best to not introduce new information in the acknowledgment section. It is enough for the bibliography to reference the statement. Additionally, it should be in a section where the bibliography starts. Here are guidelines for writing the acknowledgment.

Write it as one long paragraph. The main points should start on the paragraph’s first line. Finish the paragraph with three sentences that clearly portray your perspective, the author’s context, and the significance of the information.

This is the same as any other sentence in a bibliography. Use descriptive phrases that show the reader your interpretations and appraisals about the report.

Sometimes people might think that an item is worthy only if it falls within a set gap of the author’s work. To avoid such cases, ensure you make a worthy summary, drawing from other sources that reinforces your perspective. 

It would help if you added a summary of your findings and interpretations. However, this approach is not recommended as it is redundant. Hence you should also explain your reasons for concluding that issue with others. 

The first sentence of the paragraph must be an objective statement. Describe the quality or significance of the report. Paragraph two must also state your thoughts or interpretations, based on your research. However, in this section, you should use logic and not emotions to highlight your opinion of the situation. You can also break down your approach into chapters. A common approach is to start with a chronology, followed by chapters that focus on specific elements of the report.

You need to reference all the sources used. You can re-arrange the information presented in the bibliography so it is easy for the reader to find the sources. Ensure that you note the author’s page where you found the information.

Acknowledge the content without introducing the work of the author. The acknowledgement makes the reader more keen to go through the list of citations. It is recommended that you include a short note that will serve as a roadmap of where to find the information. If the content in the report is irrelevant, it should not be included in the bibliography.
